Dots and round objects filled Eden Nature Park and Resort as it once again held its annual New Year’s countdown party, last 31 December 2011.

It has become a tradition for Eden to host thematic New Year celebrations—and this time, with hopes for a prosperous year ahead, the resort went for a polka dot party dubbed as the Polka New Year 2012. The resort’s Vista Restaurant was garbed up to set the mood for everyone; colorful balloon arches welcomed the guests who, of course, were dressed in their most glamorous polka dot outfit and the whole place was sparkling as lights lined the ceiling and walls.

A thanksgiving mass was celebrated at around 7pm and guests were directed to the Garden Hall.

No Filipino Media Noche is ever complete with (insert drum roll please) the scrumptious buffet dinner which was served after the mass. Eden took everyone into a gastronomic adventure with foods ranging from fresh garden salad to roasted beef. Buffet tables were set at the Vista Restaurant and its lower veranda. Setting the Holiday mood were tunes from a live band serenading the guests while having their dinner.

With everyone full and charged up for the party, the band’s tempo increased and the fun part started. Poi swirled and drum beats pumped up everyone! The dancers were contagious and not long enough the stage was flocked with booty-shaking guests. Even hotter were the fire dancers! Gift certificates, paintings and gift bags were given away through fun games and raffles.

The DJ kept everyone grooving with non-stop party music as the clock ticked to midnight. The countdown began and everyone continued to dance and shout the numbers to say goodbye to 2011 say hello to a brand new year.

It was a night to remember as more dancing continued until 1am as a way of welcoming the year 2012.
